The work behind the scenes
Mobile racking systems are pallet racks mounted on rails. Instead of a fixed aisle between each row, the rack blocks slide against each other, and you only open the aisle you need at that moment. This way, you use the space normally occupied by aisles for storage.

New and innovative software and sensor technologies considerably increase load-handling speed, and the 10 m lifting capacity and agile turning radius aim to fulfil the requirements of the most common warehouses and make ART a great companion for other workers and vehicles in the facility.Designed to meet the ISO 3691-4 safety standard requirements and in line with the rest of our offering, ART features several safety features, including safety scanners and residual load monitoring. Safety is complemented by fluency-enhancing accessories, such as the Proximity Detection System (PDS), which improves the coexistence of AGVs, lift trucks, and people in a shared warehouse environment.The unique safety installation creates a dynamic field in the moving direction, which allows the vehicle to turn faster. Making the most of your vertical space
Optimise floor space
In a conventional racking plan, a large part of your floor space is occupied by aisles. Every rack row requires one, even if no one drives there for most of the day.
With mobile racking, the rows are placed right next to each other, leaving you with only one or two working aisles. The savings, therefore, do not lie in higher racking or different pallets, but in the space you previously needed to access them.
What this specifically yields depends on your current layout, your aisle width, and the height at which you store. That is why we calculate it on a case-by-case basis rather than using a fixed percentage.
When to choose mobile racking?
Mobile racking systems are most effective when storage capacity outweighs the need for rapid access to every individual pallet.
